Room 4

I have just discovered that room 4 loves pukeko. They have a tea towel that has a    in their class which also has some writing on it that says: The exotic looking pukeko is New Zealand’s own swamp hen and well-known for its intense colour and bold fearlessness. Pukeko are often seen alongside new Zealand farms and roads ,so be careful when driving through our beautiful country.  And who could forget room 4′s  class pet, Puke pukeko.  Room 4′s teacher, Miss Glover’s son is getting married in  Christchurch on Easter. Good luck to you, Tim and Lizzy.

This is what some of the room 4 students did in the weekend.

This weekend Niko helped his dad build a new playhouse.”it’s really big” said Niko. It is almost finished it just needs a door.

Bronson went to Auckland to see his granddad and his granddad said “you have to come and help me paint my boat in the next school holidays,or make my lunch.

Hayley went to a fair in Upper Hutt that has big, scary and super high roller-coasters. The man in front of her got really scared.

On Saturday Jessica went with her friend Cameron to the Waikanae pools and got lots of cookies and lollies.

Room 4 at circle time.

Room 4 has a special time in the morning called “circle time.” The kids all get their chairs and sit in a circle. When the kids do circle time they must have all six legs on the floor(the chair legs and the kids legs.) They have to be honest, say put up’s not put downs and you are allowed to pass but sometimes they will ask you again.Puku the pukeko is what you pass around the circle, when you have Puku it is your turn to say what happened the day before. Sometimes it is happy news but sometimes it is sad.
